Alongside the photographs I build a small family of apps. Orka is the account they share; the apps under it take their names from constellations. Pick one — its figure lights up exactly where it hangs in the real sky, and the view flies to it.

Virgo

A local-first calendar, to-do list, countdown and focus timer for students, with automatic Canvas sync. Everything lives in your browser; sync never deletes; a field you edited stays yours forever.
Aquarius

A WYSIWYG math note editor. You edit a tree of visual blocks — a fraction, a script, an integral — and LaTeX, PDF, Markdown and share links are all serialisations of that one tree, not the thing you author.
NOTE — The figures are not decoration. Every star above is drawn at its J2000 right ascension and declination, at a size set by its real magnitude, and the band behind them is the galactic plane, in the place the galactic plane actually is — which is why Virgo and Aquarius sit off to either side of it. The globe on the index page works the same way, one sphere down.
